A couple of weeks ago the Dallas Fitness Ambassadors hosted a Fit Happy Hour at the Greenville location of Simply Fit Meals. This was a chance for readers to meet some of the fitness bloggers they follow and to be introduced to the concept of meal prepping made easy by utilizing the services provided by Simply Fit Meals. Plus, who doesn’t love a nice fresh pressed juice mixed with a splash of vodka?!
The best part of the night was getting to have a small group discussion with food enthusiast and one of the founders of Simply Fit, Chris who was very open and real about the journey that both he and co-founder Patrick experienced while opening up their very first Simply Fit location in Austin, Texas. It is very clear that Chris is a man who is all about taking chances and they have clearly paid off! He and his gorgeous wife, who owns Peachy Keen Studios (her client testimonials speak for themselves!) are such an inspiration to all of us looking to build an empire with a significant other!
That said, if you haven’t heard about Simple Fit, let me just say they are freaking amazing and uber convenient. One of my favorite aspects of the Simply Fit model is that their food options are built for every type of person. Before I got into the prepping craze, whenever I heard the word I immediately thought of “meat heads” drinking protein shakes and eating fish, chicken, and vegetables while bench pressing a ton of weight. Yes - I was once ignorant to the power of the prep! Now, obviously, I understand that meal prepping is more about convenience and creating a no excuse atmosphere for greatness as it relates to a healthy, living, lifestyle.
Simply Fit Meals caters to every type of person: the athlete looking for the best fuel possible, the mother that just needs a break from cooking without sacrificing wholesome family meals, or the single guy or girl who wants to curve their grocery budget and keep their fridge stocked with healthy options. That, my friends, is the beauty of this brand! Any and everyone can benefit from their service. I am a self-proclaimed “meal prep queen”, but there are simply some days that I just do not have it in me. Why? Because life happens. Plain and simple. It’s refreshing to know that I have a one stop shop for ready-to-go meals, fresh pressed juices, and superfood smoothies.
Because there is such an awesome variety of meals to choose from, I didn’t want you to be overwhelmed so, I am leaving you with my top 5 favorite meals! You ready? Here we go!
1. Buffalo Chicken Salad
This stuff is addicting! I kid you not! I eat it by itself, on a bed of spinach, with crackers, in a plane, in a chair, I swear I’d eat this anywhere. *You see what I did there? Channeling my inner Dr. Seuss!*
2. Chicken Parmesan
This one comes with broccoli and makes the list because it is Peyton approved! My mini gobbled this up and, if you’ve read about how strict her diet is, you should know that this combination hit the nail on the head. Gluten Free, the dish is made with chicken with absolutely no antibiotics and no growth hormones.
3. Skinny Shrimp Pad Thai
This is a winner because it includes spaghetti squash which is one of my new favorite things to mix and match with food items. It is full of flavor and will keep well so, feel free to leave it in the fridge! Mine was delicious, even five days after I got it!
4. Cranberry Apple Chicken Salad
I think this is a store-wide favorite because it is always the smallest stack when I go. I like this one primarily because all of the ingredients remind me of a refreshing fall dish. I normally eat this with celery sticks and it is very filling.
5. Chile Real
I didn’t forget about my vegetarian friends! This is my favorite vegetarian option because it really leaves you feeling fulfilled. When most people think about vegetarian meals they fear that they will leave still feeling hungry, but the roasted pepper - stuffed with black beans and brown rice - does completely the opposite.
