Toddler Time with Lantana Foods

One thing is for sure and that is as Peyton gets older and is exposed to more surroundings her tolerance for all of the healthy food mommy has been known for incorporating into her diet is getting weaker and weaker. All that means is that mommy is learning to get more creative in how I am presenting the foods. Now, for those of you who have been following our journey for a while, you know that Peyton has digestive issues that have caused us to eliminate foods that contain gluten, dairy, and any land animals. Whole and minimally processed foods have been our jam since birth, so I get excited when I learn about new foods that I can incorporate into our lives that will get us the nutrients we need and allows room for creativity.

Hummus is something we keep in heavy rotation but it wasn’t until recently that I was introduced to the concept of fruit hummus. Lantana Foods creates an array of hummus flavors that not only meet our dietary requirements but are full of color, flavor, and life! We have tried both the strawberry and mango flavors and impressed is an understatement.

To spice up our breakfast on the go we decided to try out the Lantana Strawberry Hummus to create our version of fruit pizzas! Peyton was pleased and the rest is history, plus you can get creative as you want!

Toddler-Friendly Breakfast Pizza with Lantana Foods

Ingredients:

  • Your desired amount of Lantana Strawberry Hummus

  • Plain rice cakes (we use Lundberg Fresh Brown Rice Cakes)

  • Choose 3-4 of your favorite fruits (pictured: kiwi, strawberry, banana, blueberries)


Directions:

  • Spread the desired amount of hummus on the rice cake.

  • Arrange fruit on top.

  • My four-year-old loves when I make a funny face using the fruit on the rice cake.

  • Enjoy!
