Sweat It Out With Tobi and Dayo

For this week’s ‘Sweat It Out’ we’re introducing you to new faces - two to be exact. Meet Tobi and Dayo of @FitJourney_TD.  These two ladies run a joint Instagram account that is dedicated to gym life, healthy eats, and our favorite element: girl power.  Tobi and Dayo are the epitome of the accountability we’re always preaching. Why?  Because having someone to share your fitness journey with, having someone that can motivate and push you to the next level is so necessary to achieve your goals. Plus, if that isn’t real friendship, I don’t know what is.

Get the rundown on Tobi and Dayo below and be sure to let us know what you think of their jams. We’re definitely feeling it.

What is your absolute favorite workout shoe and why?

Dayo: Nike WMNS Flex because it’s incredibly light and comfortable.

Tobi: I'm obsessed with my Reebok CrossFit Nano 4.0. This shoe changed my life, It gives me incredible balance and stability when squatting, doing deadlifts and box jumps while at the same time being light and comfortable.

What motivates you to keep going on days that you don’t want to workout and or eat right?

Dayo: The fact that if i'm not progressing, I'm regressing

Tobi: I want to be better than I was the day before. But in all practicality some days I need to get on Instagram and Twitter and I see posts by amazing athletes that I admire so much and I think, if they can do it I can roll out of bed for some fasted cardio. Having motivational characters on my feed has definitely played a huge role in keeping me going. I also think of my friends who also tell me how much I inspire them to get active and that also gives me the push I need. As soon you get me in the gym I completely forget why I didn't want to come in the first place.

How did you come up with your playlist name?

We chose ‘Battle Music’ as the name of our playlist because the #HealthyLivingLifestyle can be somewhat of a battle. It's sometimes a battle to get to the gym, to stay motivated, and to get through those grueling sets at the gym and so on, but music can give you the drive to come out on top.
